Petite Family Sessions {Fall 2018}

Last year I was just starting to experiment with family portraiture as an art form rather than the traditional posed look most of us are used to. My aim is to capture connection over perfection, and I am SO loving the freedom that comes with that...and I love giving my clients a window into the beauty that is their life together. The hugs, the snuggles, the silly faces, the laughter - it can get messy and feel chaotic at times when you're mom or dad, but let me tell you - it's all magic to me through my lens. Meet a few of the families from this year's Fall Petite Sessions. We had so much fun!

Emmett is 2!

Say hello to our youngest. He is spunky, fiesty, hilarious, very smart, determined, and absolutely the best snuggler. He is now a two year old, but he will forever be my baby. I am so thankful to be his mama, and also so thankful I get to freeze this moment in time so our family can remember him at this endearing stage that won't last forever. Happy birthday, little guy!

Rose Madeline {lifestyle newborn session}

Welcome to the world, Rose Madeline!

Sweet little Rose is a fighter. She came into the world 8 weeks early, and needed some extra care and support in the NICU for her first few weeks. After 34 unimaginably long days, her mommy and daddy finally got to bring her home. Those early days of her life were challenging, but felt like borrowed time with their sweet baby girl - a tiny little soul they didn't expect to meet just yet, but loved more than they could've imagined. Her mom and dad are so grateful for every extra moment they got to spend with Rose, despite the sadness that came with having to leave the hospital every night without her in their arms. Now that she's home safe, every snuggle, every kiss, every bedtime, and every song has been a reminder to them that there is truly no place like home. 

Rose is named after her great-great-grandmother, and was born on the summer solstice - a very special miracle indeed!
