Kamden June {23 days new - lifestyle newborn session}

I got to meet this sweet little lady and her family just a few short weeks after she arrived, and she is just the sweetest little bundle! Around 1:00am on December 12th, Kamden decided she was ready to meet her family, so mom's water broke. Not long after that, she was born! Coincidentally, that was the same time of night that mom's water broke with big sis as well! Kamden's mommy and daddy wanted to use a family name for her middle name just like they did with big sister Maisyn Eloise (Eloise comes from mommy's grandmother). Her daddy's grandmother's name was June, and so she became Kamden June (isn't that just adorable??) 

Maisyn is already an amazing big sister to Kamden, and even though someday their mom and dad may be outmatched if/when they team up, they hope to foster a strong sisterly bond between the two that will carry them far together. Their whole family couldn't be more excited to have 2 healthy girls to call their own, and I'm so honored to have been able to capture these early moments for this sweet family! 

Rose Madeline {lifestyle newborn session}

Sweet little Rose is a fighter. She came into the world 8 weeks early, and needed some extra care and support in the NICU for her first few weeks. After 34 unimaginably long days, her mommy and daddy finally got to bring her home. Those early days of her life were challenging, but felt like borrowed time with their sweet baby girl - a tiny little soul they didn't expect to meet just yet, but loved more than they could've imagined. Her mom and dad are so grateful for every extra moment they got to spend with Rose, despite the sadness that came with having to leave the hospital every night without her in their arms. Now that she's home safe, every snuggle, every kiss, every bedtime, and every song has been a reminder to them that there is truly no place like home. 

Rose is named after her great-great-grandmother, and was born on the summer solstice - a very special miracle indeed!

Baby L - {20 days new} - lifestyle newborn session

Welcome to the world, sweet Baby L!

May 12th         11:30pm 

7 pounds 4 ounces                 20 inches long

This sweet little angel was born just 30 minutes before Mother's Day, making her mama's 1st Mother's Day even sweeter! Before she was born, her mom and dad didn't find out her gender, but dad (and most everyone else) was sure they were going to have a boy - until their ultrasound when dad saw how wiggly she was, and then he changed his mind to thinking it was probably a girl...and turns out he was right! Yay!

Baby L's timing was impeccable - she very politely waited for mommy to finish up her to-do list so she didn't get behind on her clinical rotations (she was secretly hoping baby would wait until at least Thursday) and for daddy to finish up giving an exam and getting all the grading wrapped up (he was secretly hoping baby would wait until Friday). So on Friday evening, contractions started and by Saturday night she was here - 2 days early! Both sides of the family were eagerly awaiting the news to hear if baby was a boy or a girl and what her name would be...and being the 1st grandchild on either side, the anticipation was even greater and more exciting! She has melted the hearts of everyone in her family tree and is so loved!

Milan Grace {10 days new} - lifestyle newborn session

Welcome to the world, Milan "Mila" Grace!

Sweet Mila was born via c-section exactly 1 year, 1 week, and 1 day after her baby brother passed away unexpectedly at 12 weeks gestation. She is this family's "rainbow baby" - hope after a storm, life after tragedy, and a promise of joy amidst sadness. After losing baby brother, rainbows seemed to follow mom and dad, giving them hope in God's provision and love. On the day Mila was born, a double rainbow even appeared over the hospital!! As was the case for her big sister Avery, this little girl has been so anticipated. Her name, Milan (Mila for short), honors her daddy's Italian roots, and just like the beautiful Italian city, sweet Milan is a beautiful baby girl. I am so honored to have captured some precious moments of her first few weeks in this world, and can't wait to see her grow!!
