I have been experimenting with a solid black background for head shots and I like the emotion it gives. It brings a more serious tone to images, plays on the shadows in kids' faces, and just brings a different feel that enhances the details of their sweet little faces. This sweet little face is one of my favorites, and although he's at a very wiggly age, 3 minutes in front of the camera was enough to get a few images that I will cherish forever as his mama.
